1. How does your college help in the overall development of the students?

Seshadripuram Independent PU College aims at the holistic development of students by giving equal importance to academia, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities through a number of student centric programs which includes NSS, NCC, value added coaching, apart from effective and concept based teaching in the class rooms.

2. How safe is your college for my child?

Students safety is our prime concern. Our college runs on 24/7 surveillance cameras. The security in our college is vigilant about every student’s entry and exit from the college. The students will not be let out of the campus in the college hours. In case of emergency, the parents may seek the permission of the principal and pick their child.

3. Will my child get individual attention in the classroom?

Of course yes. We at SIPUC, believe that providing individual care and personal attention to students, is one of the best ways to bring the child on track. We have a mentoring system, where each lecturer is given the responsibly of an approximate of 30 students, where every detail i.e. their performance in test and behavior in class, is maintained by the mentors. Apart from this, we also counsel the students who need personal care.

4. In what way does your college encourage sports?

Our college, along with academics has also excelled in sports. Many of our students have participated in various sports events in the national level, state level and district level and are also the pioneers in bagging prizes in Hand Ball and Net Ball. And also, every year we organize District Level Inter-Collegiate sports meet, in which, students from various colleges participate, compete and win prizes.

5. How will my child be guided academically, apart from regular classes?

Understanding the fact that all the students are not the same, apart from regular classes, we offer remedial classes for the needy students, without disturbing the regular classes. And also, the lecturers are ever ready to clarify the students quarries anytime over a call. So the students can seek guidance anytime.

6. How often are parents allowed to visit college?

We impose no restrictions for the parents. Parents may visit college anytime in the college working hours.

7. Does the college provide scholarship for the meritorious students?

Yes. The college provides a scholarship of 10,000 for the I PU students who have secured more than 85% in their 10th examination and a free seat for the students who have secured 95% and above.

8. How is my child groomed for the professional courses?

In addition to the preparation for the board examination, the students are provided with add-on coaching for CET, NEET, CA, CS and CPT.

9. Is boarding facility available in your college?

Boarding facility is not available, but we refer our students to a nearby PG, where many of our students stay.

10. Where do your students stand in the CET and NEET examinations?

We believe the foundation for a good ranking in the competitive exams is thorough understanding of the theory which is explained through concept based teaching and learning. As such every year many our students make it to the top professional Colleges in the Engineering and Medical stream by securing ranks within 6000.

11. How often are the students taken on educational trips?

Till the outburst of Corona, the students were taken on educational trips in every to various places like Mangalore, Goa and Kerala. Corona has halted the educational trips. We will resume it once the situation is back to normal stage.

12. What are the SDP held for the students?

We conduct SDP like soft sill development, career counselling, counselling on handling exam pressure, personal hygiene, prospects in defense and so on for the students very often. The intention behind which is to mold the child to handle the demands of the society efficiently.

Commerce students are taken on industrial visits to get the first-hand experience of how things function at the industries.
